About Me ~The Lady Behind the Lens~

Hello! Welcome to my little corner of the internet.  I am Erouda my friends call me E. I started doing photography when I was thirteen. I grew up and followed my passion into university when analogue photography was all the world knew. Photography is now at my core. Some have said I have the superpower of quickly capturing the essence of a person. This has a little something to do with my love for connecting with people.

As a specialist in portrait photography, I have been lucky enough to photograph many different people. My favourite aspect of photography is meeting new people and learning about their story. I enjoy the opportunity to capture what makes them unique, in the studio or their own personal space. Understanding natural and studio light give you and me the unique opportunity to create the exact look you envision.

When I am not behind my camera, you will find me with my husband and two boys cooking something delicious or hiking through a forest.

Come join me in front of my lens. I am excited to hear your story and talk about your vision for your portrait session and how we can capture your essence together.

A little more about me...

I was made in South Africa.  I lived and worked there for most of my life until I met my husband.  My family and I lived in Mexico for five years, where I also did photography, and now we call Switzerland home. English is my mother tongue. I speak German and Spanish.  I enjoy learning what I don’t know. I am also not afraid to make mistakes but rather embrace what they teach me.

Before I married my husband and became a mother of two, I freelanced as a line producer in the South African TV/Film industry. Documentary film making is another one of my many passions in life. I’m obsessed with watching movies.

I love summertime more than winters. I especially love when I can spend summer days in my garden doing art while my kids run around screaming. I enjoy watching snow fall from the inside of my house more than I like making snow angels, but I will build a snowman every chance I get. My favourite colours are red and gold, but if truth be told I have a huge struggle picking favourites in any category. I miss my home country but still embrace the things I love about Switzerland. Raclette is my favourite Swiss meal. I enjoy that everyone sits around one hot plate melting cheese over potatoes while exchanging their stories and eating for Gluscht (a Swiss German word meaning to eat for the love of the taste).
